AUTUMN DREAMS IN JAPANESE GARDEN
Japanese garden so still
At one with nature’s will
Autumn colours
flaming
Maple leaves
fluttering
Water pools
reflecting
Soft raindrops
falling
Light breezes
flowing
Time for
dreaming
Bridge for
Living
Japanese garden so still

Thoughts in this garden of serenity.
Bryngarw Country Park Japanese Garden.
This oriental garden was planted before First World War by Captain Treherne, the owner of Bryngarw.
Trees from China and Japan were planted . Ponds etc. were made to look like a Far East garden.
Rare trees like gingko, handkerchief tree and table dogwood are found between 80 year old rhododendrons.
In 1960’s and 1970’s the overgrown gardens were reclaimed and new maples were planted.
